Financial Policy

Thank you for choosing McDonough Animal Hospital to provide your pet’s veterinary care. Our goal is to make the cost of care as easy and manageable for our clients as possible by offering several payment options.

McDonough Animal Hospital requires payment in full at the time services are performed. McDonough Animal Hospital will use all means available to collect on any balance not paid at the time of service, up to and including adding a monthly service charge equal to $2.00 or 1.5% of the balance, whichever is greater, and any legal action which is deemed appropriate. McDonough Animal Hospital does not accept checks as a form of payment.

Payment Options: Clients can pay by cash, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Care Credit, or ScratchPay.

If a client does not come to their appointment and does not call to reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours in advance, McDonough Animal Hospital reserves the right to charge a prepayment for services to schedule future appointments.

If an appointment is not made and the client chooses to “walk in” instead of making an appointment, or the client is late by 10 minutes or more, the client understands there is a walk-in fee added to the office visit charge.

We accept Care Credit & ScratchPay as alternative payment methods. Clients can apply for Care Credit online at CareCredit.com or Scratch Pay at ScratchPay.com

For clients with pet insurance, we will gladly provide the necessary documentation to submit a claim to the insurance company. We are partnered with TruPanion and can use their Express feature to expedite the process.
